Mike He's photobook a success
15 Nov – All 300 copies of Taiwanese model-actor Mike He's debut photobook, "Le Retour Du Sud De La France" was sold out within 30 minutes of his promotional fan meeting, and those who did not get to buy it even protested, according to Cpopaccess.
The 27-year-old was in Tokyo to promote the DVD release of his 2009 drama, "Calling For Love" recently, but his Japanese fans were more interested in his photobook.
Mike was originally worried about fans' reception towards his almost nude photos in the photobook, so his organisers especially brought 300 signed copies to the event. The sales for the photobook turned out surprisingly well.
Fans even praised his great body and expressed that the amount of skin he showed was definitely "okay."
It had been two years since Mike visited Japan. After a relatively quiet 2010, he successfully made a comeback this year with the dramas "Sunny Happiness" and "Love Keeps Going", sustaining his popularity in Japan. 500 Japanese fans attended his fan meeting and many of them could not resist hugging him.
However, Mike only stayed in Japan for three days and his busy schedule did not allow him to have time to go shopping.
On the other hand, his publisher is now considering releasing a Japanese version of the photobook due to its positive reception.
