Haley Joel Osment, former child star extraordinaire from films including The Sixth Sense and Forrest Gump, has celebrated his 35th birthday – and we’re feeling a certain kind of way about it.

Taking to Instagram, the Oscar nominee marked his milestone birthday on Monday as he reflected on the friends, family and memories he’s made over his lifetime so far.

Alongside a selection of snaps, he wrote: ‘I am thirty-five years old today.

‘I’m grateful for family and friends and memories like the ones I made this weekend.’

Turning to the things he felt particularly thankful for, he continued: ‘I can say I’ve seen Clayton Kershaw pitch in the World Series, I saw Keith Jarrett play Carnegie Hall, I watched Steven Spielberg direct a movie, and this weekend I saw Tiger Woods birdie 15 at Augusta.

‘I’m a lucky guy.’

Of course, that Spielberg movie would be 2001’s A.I. Artificial Intelligence in which Haley starred aged 12 as a childlike android uniquely programmed with the ability to love.

His co-stars in the movie included Jude Law, Brendan Gleeson, William Hurt and Frances O’Connor.

In his photos, the avid golfer, who has been playing since the age of seven, posed with a gang including James and Oliver Phelps, both 37, best known for playing the Weasley twins Fred and George in the Harry Potter film series from 2001 to 2011.

They are also keen golf players, and Haley’s other photos revealed him showing off Masters Tournament swag as he enjoyed one of the four major professional championships in the sport.

Famous family and friends were also sharing the love with Haley, as his actress sister Emily Osment, who’s starred in the likes of Hannah Montana and Young Sheldon, wrote: ‘I love you, best friend !!!!!!!! happy birthday !!!!!!!’

Harry Potter star Tom Felton (and another of the golf gang) posted a raised hands emoji in celebration in the comments, which Oliver Phelps replicated with the addition of a heart emoji.

The star previously told The Guardian that he had grown the thick dark beard he now sports ‘to try to hide in public’ after his stratospheric rise to fame as a youngster, thanks in large part to his heartbreaking role opposite Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense, which got him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor in 2000 aged just 11.

‘That didn’t really work at all,’ he added.

Haley has continued with his successful acting career, doing plenty of voice work for the likes of Dogs in Space and video game Kingdom Hearts.

He has also had onscreen roles in the likes of Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method and Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile with Zac Efron.
