Lord Murugan — ‘Tamizh Kadavul’
Affectionately known as ‘Tamizh Kadavul’, Lord Murugan is worshipped by devotees from around the world and mainly from Tamil Nadu!
My connect with the Lord strengthened as I went through a very difficult health crisis! Recovery and redemption from my illness was possible, as I offered my heartfelt prayers to the Lord, and repeating his ‘Naamavali’ in the form of writing ‘Om muruga’ several hundred times in a notebook!

I have come so far
through this journey of life
full of miseries and sadness
sometimes excitement and happiness
that usually dont last long

3. An incredible facebook post that I had found on ‘Mantra Japa’ practice which connects you to Lord Murugan — Chanting ‘Om Saravana Bhavaya Namaha’ . Hoping to try this sometime!
4. One other very powerful mantra — ‘Lord Murugan’s Gayatri Mantra’ is another interesting gem of discovery, found on YouTube, and has several benefits. Powerful energy vibrations do surround you while chanting the mantra!

5. A really spell binding beautiful video, with 1008 verses praising the Lord ! Listening to it puts you in a peaceful and pleasant state of existence!

6. The very popular ‘kanda shasti kavasam’ is a wonderful way to stay connected to the Lord, and is super effective shield against evil forces offered to his beloved devotees.

Palani, one of the 6 powerful shrines(Aarupadai Veedu),dedicated to Lord Murugan, located at Hilltop of Palani hills,is considerably one of the most important pilgrimage spot to devotees of the Lord from around the world!
A recent visit I had made to the Palani hills was indeed a memorable one — Viewing the hilltop at night time from near the hotel we stayed in marked a beautiful lovely moment of profound peace and calmness, reflective of the nature of the pilgrimage spot!
A more recent and memorable experience, was during a temple visit to Vadaplani Murugan temple located in Chennai, and we had signed up to witness the mesmerizing paal abhishekam ritual, which can be considered as a life time opportunity. The peace and bliss that surrounded me was inexplicable! We are provided with a little portion of the milk that was used for the abhishekam on the Lord, as prasadham! Fellow devotees were chanting the Lord’s name. The beauty and splendor of this ritual, definitely is one to remember!
Another important powerspots of Lord Murugan, which is one that I found in my searches is that of a temple, adjoining a Hindu monestary located in Hawaii, and is called the Kaui’s Hindu monestary! An American Swami, named Bodinatha Veylanswami, who speaks about Lord Murugan workship and belongs to a lineage of gurus, and below is one such video, where he talks about his experiences workshipping the Lord!

A really wonderful rendition of the thirupugazh, in the form of a song, titled ‘Nadha Vindhu’ is a melodious and beautiful track, sung by Sandeep Narayan, and carries such auspicious vibes — Definitely enjoyed listening to it!
