Now this month we have chosen wonderful True Love Designer Series Paper. Now the designs in this pack are all wonderful Black and white designs. There are some beautiful floral patterns on one side that can be left as they are or coloured using blends or watercolour pencils and on the other sides are lots spots, stripes and other geometric designs which are so useful. The papers form part of a huge Love you Always suite of coordinating products . There are 2 each of 6 double sided designs in a useful 12″ x 12″ format giving 12 sheets.

I picked the stunning Brushed Blooms Stamp Set for my Projects. The font is is so pretty and have a really useful set of floral images and I know I will be getting lots of use for this set.

I was clearing out some old sample boxes recently and came across an Aztec Pyramid card that I made years ago and thought it would be a fun way to show some of these stunning papers.

Black & White True Love Aztec Pyramid Card

I love fun fold cards and this one is much simpler to make than you think.

I made it first in at my monthly team gathering and they loved it so much that I was asked to make this one on my twice weekly Facebook Live.

To make the base card cut a sheet of A4 card in half length ways. The finished card will fit perfectly into a standard C6 envelope.

Simply fussy cut one of the floral images that can be found in the DSP, and add to the card. The sentiment is heat embossed in white onto a scrap of black card. To finish add some Black Matt dots

Measurements

  • Base: Basic Black – 29.7 cm by 10.5 cm scored at 14.5 cm & 29.0 cm plus diagonally corner to corner and 7.0cm mark to 7.0cm mark
  • First Layer : Basic White – 13.5 cm by 9.5 cm
  • Second Layer : True Love DSP – 12.5 cm by 8.5cm
  • Sentiment: Basic Black – Scrap

Step It Up- True Love Aztec Pyramid Card

Next I made the same card, but added a pop of colour with some Granny Apple Green Card and coloured the image with the coordinating Stampin Blends and some pretty Opal Rounds

For my final card I swapped out the first layer to Purple Posy and used some of the gorgeous Mercury Glass Acetate. It’s soooooo pretty. Once again, colour the fussy cut floral image with Purple Posy & Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends. You can add a touch of sparkle with some Wink of Stella. Finally add some Pastel Pearls to complete the card.

Voila!

I had great fun making these cards and I would love to know which one is your favourite? Please do leave me a comment.

      Hi Suzanne,

Sadly I don’t have the measurements in inches, but I’m sure it would be easy to convert

    Hi Sarah ,
I love these cards ,so different & I’ve not seen this fold before I just saw someone on Facebook do a recent video . She put a centre piece in as she said it wouldn’t stand up . Do you think this step is necessary?
