Stampin’ Up! Adoring Hearts Valentine’s Day Card

Do you need a pretty Valentine’s Day card to give to the love of your life, a parent, family member, friend or young one? This Valentine’s card fits the bill! I created this card using the Adhoring Hearts Bundle. This bundle includes the Adoring Hearts Stamp Set, Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder and the Adoring Hearts Dies. The large die in the Adoring Hearts Die set fits into the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder and allows you to not only emboss and die cut the hearts in one swoop, but if you ink up the Embossing Folder, you also get inked hearts – all at the same time! Can you tell I had fun playing with this set?

I used the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder to emboss a 5-1/4″ x 4″ white panel. This panel was adhered to a Sweet Sorbet mat. I wrapped a length of Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon around this panel unit and secured the ends to the back of the panel using a little Stampin’ Seal.

Back to the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder… I opened the embossing folder with the insides of the folder face up then used my Bubble Bath ink pad to ink the raised portion of the embossing folder down the center, making sure to ink up the three center hearts. I then carefully positioned the large six-heart die over the inked surface of the embossing folder with the cutting edge of the die face up. A 5-1/2″ x 2″ piece of white cardstock was then positioned down the center of the embossing folder. I carefully closed the folder and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. The result is three inked, embossed and die cut hearts! To view the images below, click on the first image to view larger versions of the photos and use the right and left arrows to move forward or backward.

The inked, embossed and die cut hearts were then adhered to the card front using liquid glue. Because the larger panel was previously embossed, the hearts sit up on the card surface a bit, giving them a little dimension. I stamped the sentiment onto the sentiment label in Sweet Sorbet ink then matted the label to a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock. I looped a length of the Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon through the wrapped piece of ribbon and tied a bow on the right side of the card. The sentiment label was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped an additional sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink, then used the large heart image from the Adoring Hearts Stamp Set and stamped the heart over top of the sentiment in Bubble Bath ink. The panel was then adhered to a Sweet Sorbet mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same large floral heart was stamped onto the envelope front in Bubble Bath ink and the small heart image was stamped onto the envelope flap. Several small Sweet Sorbet hearts from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers embellishment pack were adhered to the sentiment label on the card front to complete the project.

I had a blast playing with the Adoring Hearts Bundle! You can easily change up the colors used on this project for a different look to your Valentine’s Day cards! To download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card, click on the image below. Complete instructions are provided!
