Re: [WarMachine] So, I'm thinking about getting in.
Thank you! And yeah, Cryx is mostly a troops faction that relies on strong melee troops/solos and spell-slinging warcasters. You typically do have some arc nodes (most of our lights are arc nodes), and maybe one or two heavies, but that's about it. Your focus usually wants to go to spellcasting or camping for armor.
That's changed a bit recently with the addition of Aiakos, who is kind of a warcaster-type solo who can run a 'jack or two for you. It's pretty common to see him hiding behind a Kraken or supporting a Leviathan shooting from range.
Then there's Mortenebra, who is basically our warcaster who can do nothing BUT 'jacks and still be competitive.
------------
Different topic: I'm trying my first local tournament on Jan 24. I'm still pretty worried about the clock. I can't seem to finish games without clocking myself out, though I'm usually pretty close. Just going to have to sigh and mark all the backs of my bases with my guy's MAT/POW, since I'm pretty sure I lose a lot of time looking that stuff up. :/ At least I have a white wet-erase marker to use, so that I don't need to paint over them once I get them memorized.
