Laponia

Sweden Laponia together with the Norwegian Rago National Park, forms the largest protected area in Europe and covers almost 10 000 square kilometres.
KUNGSLEDEN - The "Royal Route" is a 430 km long hiking trail through Laponia and National Parks, Sarek, Store Sjöfallet and Abisko. In Laponia you can experience the real Arctic wilderness, where temperature falls below -30 ° C in winter, where northern lights dance on the sky and where you can freely wander through arctic landscape for many days. Together with my friends Jano Smolka and Martin Hanák, we crossed almost 160 km along this route from Abisko to Saltoluokta on skis, with sledge and in expedition style.
