A little boy named Damien is once again about to haunt your dreams, but this time on the small screen.

The young boy from the classic 1976 horror film (and 2006 remake) The Omen is now an adult facing his true destiny as the Antichrist in Damien, a new TV series in development for Lifetime from former The Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara. The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news of the project with Mazzara writing the script and executive producing under his overall deal with Fox Television Studios. In addition to already being a horror expert thanks to The Walking Dead, Mazzara also created the movie-to-TV adaptation of the Academy-Award winning film Crash for Starz.

Damien is a follow-up to the Antichrist story based on the original film that starred Gregory Peck and Lee Remick as parents who secretly adopt the baby of a mother who died at the same time of their own child’s birth, only to learn that their son Damien is the Antichrist. The original spawned two sequels and later two movie adaptations in the ’90s. A 2006 remake starring Julia Stiles and Liev Schreiber grossed over $100 million worldwide.
