NOW WHERE THEY AT?: Eric Saade

NOW WHERE THEY AT?
Eric Saade

Eric Saade

After unexplainably missing out to Azerbaijan in 2011’s contest with his song ‘Popular’, Eric Saade has been highly successful in his home country of Sweden. He has released a whopping four albums in as many years, proving Saade to be a pop song factory. His hits stay true to his boy band past and include the catchy ‘Sleepless’, ‘Break of Dawn’ and  ‘Manboy!’ (which failed to make it through Melodifestivalen competition to be Sweden’s entry in the 2010 contest).

Saade has also duetted with a number of international acts including American rapper Dev on the 2012 hit ‘Hotter Than Fire’, Norwegian singer Tone Damli for the beautiful ballad ‘Imagine’ and Brazilian rapper J-Son for pop anthem ‘Hearts in the Air’.

Saade has embarked on a number of tours to promote his albums in his native Sweden and his growing popularity has meant he has expanded to tour neighbouring Scandinavian countries Norway, Denmark and Finland. He is also a permanent feature on the list of Scandipop Awards nominations.

Eric also tried his hand a presenting when Sweden hosted Eurovision last year. He was responsible for chatting to guests back stage in the green room. And his cheeky-chappy relaxed style leant itself well to the role.

His new album ‘Forgive Me’ came out in late 2013 with ‘Coming Home’ acting as the lead single. Follow up ‘Boomerang’ will be released later this year.
