Logo Room Stefan Kanchev
Exhibition in Krakow, Poland

Stefan Kanchev was a Bulgarian graphic designer. He designed about 1600 logos and one-seventh of all issued stamps in Bulgaria in his playing days. Within 40 years he shaped the appearance of an entire country. Stefan Kanchev was one of the most prolific graphic designer of Bulgaria and his work deserve the most appreciation for the shaping of the Bulgarian graphic identity in those years. This project has the goal of maintaining its heritage and popularize and promote the well-deserved position of the Bulgarian designs in the world.

The focus of the exhibition »The Logo Room of Stefan Kanchev« are 140 logos that have shaped the visual appearance of Bulgaria. Selected and never displayed before original designs are presented on steles and can be analyzed through magnifying glasses. Stefans curriculum vitae is shown on wine bottles since he was a wine lover. The exhibition was shown in Krakow, Poland, on the Design Attack Festival. I participate in this student group building up the logo room, designing communication media like poster and flyers and documentating photographilly the making of the exhibition room.
