Scouting Guide: Carroll is a forward who can play with his back to go or run the channels for both the English national team and West Ham United. He combines physicality, a solid first touch and the ability to finish with both his head and his feet to offer his managers the total package in a No. 9 striker.

His seven goals helped West Ham United finish 10th in the English Premier League table, and he is currently in the mix as England continues to compete in World Cup-qualifying matches.

Where Next?

Carroll is still owned by Liverpool but on loan with West Ham United.

The Mirror  is reporting that Newcastle is interested in re-signing Carroll, but would need to swap Hatem Ben Arfa and pay the Reds €17 million. Fear in regard to Arfa's fitness could force the Reds to go in a different direction.

Metro reports that there is also the possibility that Carroll might stay with West Ham United if the two clubs can figure out the necessary terms.

Tottenham is in the mix (per Daily Mail) as well and are said to be scouting Carroll for a potential summer transfer.

Finally, Telegraph notes that Monaco are said to be interested in the services of the Englishman, who is likely to leave Liverpool this summer.

Newcastle would be a nice fit as Carroll would be returning to the club where his career began. That noted, this is a critical move for the 24-year-old when considering his international career. Perhaps a move to a Tottenham would suit him better, particularly if Gareth Bale leaves.
