Can orange lip color be a year-round thing? Fall 2018 is proving just that. Whether it’s London Fashion Week looking forward to Spring Season 2019 or preparing for the start of this fall season, orange is taking over.

London Fashion Week just concluded, and it had many trends emerge, but one beauty trend stuck out above the rest: Perfect orange pouts.

Lip Gloss

Vibrant colors, not neutrals, were all over the runway. And one orange in particular appeared everywhere. Thanks to makeup artists ditching nude shades for 90s rave-inspired and neon shades, orange appeared in many runways throughout the week. Flattering on everyone, this bright color is here to stay.

Sure, to be honest this shade can be a little daunting, but it’s worth the risk. Give it a try and you won’t look back. Pumpkin-hued orange lips are here to stay and these bold look will brighten up any fall day.

How to Wear Orange Lipstick

So what’s the deal with the fear of orange? Pumpkins are orange. Leaves turn orange. Orange can be the perfect addition to a fall look, if done right. It really is a super wearable color. And while it might not have the reputation of more neutrals like pink and brown, it looks great on many looks. Here are some of the ways to rock the orange pout this fall.

1. Try a simple black eyeliner with orange lips.

Our 24/7 I-Line in Black Magic is the perfect, long-wearing smooth and pigmented addition to the simple look. Both a darker orange and a lighter coral will keep the look sharp and simple. Our lip cream in Tropicoral is the perfect combination with pigmented black eyeliner.

2. Orange on orange.

You can never have too much orange. Try a soft orange eye shadow with a brighter orange lip. Add a little eye shadow below the eye for a softer look. Soft coral lips will pop with this combination. Our Coral Orange Lip Gloss in Orange Rush is a perfect combination for this softer, daytime look.

3. Brown and orange eye shadow with orange lips.

Try a lighter smoky eye look with these two shades. Think: copper. Our waterproof Shadow STX in Midnight Marathon will complete this Pumpkin Spice-inspired look. Change the look to a more night-time pumpkin-hue with a deeper brown golden shimmer eyeliner in Whiskey.

4. The no makeup-makeup eye look.

Light, shiny eyeshadow with an orange lip will make your look feel simple, natural but with a kick. It’s effortless and a great look with any outfit. Apply only on the eyelid, stopping just above the crease. Bold orange-red lips like Infrared are a great combination with this natural, shiny eye shadow look.

5. Bright-colored eye shadow with orange lips.

A bright yellow eye shadow or a deep pink, hitting red will complement an orange lip perfectly. Think autumn leaves. Burgundy and auburn have always been a fall favorite. Try utilizing the other autumn shades in combination with orange lips. Kerensa Tinted Lip Balm is the perfect deeper, moisturizing orange to complete this look.

6. White or champagne eyeliner with orange lips.

Balance out your bright lips with a soft, bright line. Change things up with, off-white bright eyeliner on your water line instead of on top. Our 24/7 I-Line Eyeliner in Champagne Buzz is the perfect brightness AND it’s waterproof, so it won’t fade or smudge.

7. Metallic eye shadow with orange lips.

Nothing says fall and winter like a metallic eyeshadow. Our newest collection, Rock & Rose will have the perfect metallics to complete this look. Be the first to find out when the new products drop by signing up. And maybe getting a few surprises along the way.

"Whether you’re channeling a modern mermaid or spring fever has arrived way ahead of schedule, a diffused neon lip and glowing skin is all you really need for a tropical contact high."
