Condition Scale:

Mint – The handbag is brand new, never used and is in flawless, mint condition. 

Pristine – The handbag may have only been worn once or twice and is still like new. The item may still have protective stickers intact and has been kept pristine. 

Excellent – The item is in excellent condition but may have minor flaws that can only be seen up close. 

Loved – The item is in very good condition but shows some signs of normal love and wear. 

Good – The item is in decent condition but has visible wear. For example, creased or slouching leather would be a sign of visible wear. 

Any item that is below good condition will not be accepted by Bags for Breakfast. To maintain our standard of pre-owned handbag selection, any item that does not meet our minimum criteria will not be considered. 

Upon receiving an item, Bags for Breakfast will begin the authentication process.  The inspection of each item includes the following:

1. The item will go through a secondary appraisal regarding its condition. If the condition does not uphold our acceptable standards, then we will unfortunately send the bag back.
2. The item will then go through every step of the authentication process. Each element of the bag is closely examined by my expertly trained eyes.  We also value peer review. At Bags for Breakfast we have a trusted network of proven authenticators. We are human, so sometimes  giving the item a second look from fresh eyes is something we believe is important to make sure no detail was spared. 
3. The item will also be examined  through professional third party AI authentication tools. Bags for Breakfast use Entrupy, an LVMH backed tool. This final verification is to add an extra layer of trust for our clients. It is common to ask for an official certificate of authenticity that the AI tool provides. We are happy to give you a certificate of authenticity upon request.
