Powerball rolls over to 'unfathomable' $200m record jackpot
There were no division one winners in Thursday night's Powerball draw, meaning Aussies will now fight it out for the biggest jackpot ever offered in this country.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled over to $200 million for next week's record-breaking draw after no one claimed Thursday night’s jackpot. This will be the sixth consecutive week there have been no division one entries, making it the largest jackpot in Australian lottery game history.
The winning numbers in Thursday’s draw were 21, 9, 27, 6, 1, 26 and 4, and the Powerball was 10. There were 26 division two entries, however, all were one number away from becoming multimillionaires — with no division one winners claiming the highly anticipated $150 million jackpot.
‘Unfathomable’ prospects for next week’s Powerball players
The Lott official James Eddy shared his excitement over next week’s record-breaking jackpot, believing many Aussies will spend the next week daydreaming about what they would do with the money if they won big.
"I know I’m excited, so I can imagine Australian lottery players are rubbing their hands together at the thought of bagging $200 million and taking home the crown as the largest lottery winner in Australian history," he said.
"It’s unfathomable what winning even just a slice of next week’s $200 million Powerball division one prize would do for you this year and for the rest of your life."

Powerball saw a huge number of entries for this week’s draw – which was the second-largest jackpot behind the previous record of $160 million in 2018. Sales peaked hours before the draw with a whopping 7,455 entries in a single minute.
It is expected that half of Australian adults will enter into the Powerball next week in the hope of going down in Australian history.
