454 V8. Power windows, seat and tailgate. No third seat, though. Priced kinda high, but this clam looks solid and is high optioned for an Impala. http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/4062395707.html
Is this Impala this one? I love this wagon. Can any one confirm this? http://www.stationwagonfinder.com/2012/03/1973-chevrolet-impala-station-wagon/
It sure looks like the same one... sure looks nice on that link you posted. This Impala wagon... the next trim level below the Caprice Estate is a very nice one. This one is a very high optioned car, especially for an Impala. Even many of the Caprice models didn't have power windows or power seat - not to mention that this one even has the 454. Too bad no 3rd seat.
Pablo Cruise?..lol OH I thought you were talking about the "Pablo Cruise" 8 track plugged in the dash unit...HAHAHAHA... couldn't resist QUOTE=jwdtenn;266038]Looks like it also has factory cruise! Button on the end of the turn signal stalk. [/QUOTE]
Oh yeah, it does have cruise as well! That is a high optioned Impala!! Other than the lack of the 3rd seat and tilt column, it is nicer optioned than my Caprice wagon by a long shot! I don't have any power options or cruise!! I do have tilt wheel, which this one does not have... I am surprised that it don't! lol. I also just noticed that it also has tape player and probably an FM radio as well.
I have always loved the other one, so if this is the same wagon then I am definitely interested. Going by what we can tell, it is actually a high mileage car, but definitely been well restore at some point. For this price I would like to see some before and after pictures because even if it was painted 5 or 10 years ago, if was a clean car to start with then this wont matter, but you would still need to know that it is not full of "bog" (bondo). Also it is matching number so it may have a recent rebuilt engine making it all more appealing as well. I have a man on the ground hoping to make contact with the seller soon because "I am as keen as" (New Zealand speak!) on this one.
Premier, please PM me if you need any additional help. This Impala clamshell is literally in my back yard. Franklin TN is a suburb directly south of Nashville by just a dozen miles and where I grew up.
Yes, Premier. Same '73 Impala wagon. I've had one phone conversation last week with seller to confirm. Now if he would just return my subsequent phone calls. I'm still trying. Sounds like a superior GM clam wagon!
Hey jwdtenn no problem, if he wants to sell it, then he will have to make it and himself available at some point! Having the same problem with the one in Kansas as well:banghead3:
