26 juni 2018 · Swedish "hej" is pronounced with a clear j sound, ie a consonant, while English "hey" is pronounced with an i sound, ie a vowel.

25 mars 2021 · Hej is a greeting (or a goodbye), while hallå is a beckon for attention (that also can be used as a greeting, especially on the phone)

12 jan. 2024 · Theyre the same. Some might argue Hejsan is less formal, but its different from person to person. I use Hejsan in proffesional ciscumstances.
