  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • Generally, casinos denote entertainment places or gambling places, each equipped with various types of entertainment facilities, such as those used for music, shows, and dances. Recently, many casinos have adopted a new concept of promoting themselves as complex recreation centers in which various forms of entertainment are combined with tourism. As a result, the casino industry has overcome its traditionally negative image, that of an industry associated with crime, gambling addiction, and illegal money laundering, and has gradually transformed itself into an industry that contributes greatly to the acquisition of foreign currencies, the extension of tourism revenue, regional development, and the activation of regional economy.
  • Currently, in domestic and foreign areas, many legal casinos authorized by the corresponding country are being operated. In such a casino, table games using cards, such as baccarat, blackjack, and poker, table games using dies, balls, and other accessories, such as roulette, big wheel, dice, and Tai-Sai, and various other games, such as slot machines, electronic games, and Sports Toto, are played. In the case of table games, dealers run the games on corresponding tables. Among the games, table games using cards are operated such that a dealer deals cards in conformity with preset rules, and the winning or losing of games is determined depending on the game rules. In this case, players select targets to be bet on and bet game chips on the targets before cards are dealt, and can additionally bet game chips based on the results of the dealt cards according to the game. Finally, the dealer allots payouts to players using chips depending on the winning or losing of the game, thus completing a single round of the game. Table games may include baccarat, blackjack, poker, roulette, big wheel, and Tai-Sai, and does not always refer to only games using cards. Typically, table games, such as baccarat, blackjack, poker, roulette, big wheel, Tai-Sai, and poker, are operated by dealers, and machine games include various types of slot machine games, electronic games, etc. which are not operated by dealers.
  • In this way, among table games operated by casinos, most table games using cards are operated in a manner that depends only on the hands of a dealer. Due to this, cheating carried out while avoiding a dealer's observation, or tricks such as intentional overpay made by feigning a mistake as arranged by prior conspiracy between the dealer and a customer, may occur. Currently operating casinos are equipped with monitoring systems for monitoring individual game tables, and are prepared to detect such undesirable activities, in order to prevent such unfairness.
  • In particular, casinos all over the world have registered a rapid growth at an annual average of 4%, but blackjack, baccarat, poker, etc., and modifications and similar games thereof occupy the configuration of most casino games, so that there are limitations in the diversification of casino games. Therefore, in order to develop casinos so that they can provide a wider range of mental leisure activities to satisfy the various desires of customers, the development of and research into more various table games are required.
  • The above information is presented as background information only to assist with an understanding of the present disclosure. No determination has been made, and no assertion is made, as to whether any of the above might be applicable as prior art with regard to the present invention.

  • FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the configuration of a triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the configuration of a win number entry device in the triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the connection of the win number entry device, a display unit, and a lighting device in the triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
  • Referring to FIG. 1, a triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a game pad 100, a win number entry device 200, and a lighting device 300. The triple game system may further include a display unit 400 and score paper 500.
  • The game pad 100 includes a layout 110 including a card arrangement zone 111 required to play a triple game, a game logo 112, a game description phrase 113, seat-based betting zones 114 allowing each player to bet on one or more sides of his or her seat-based betting zone), and a seat number area 115, on a game table around which a dealer and players are located. Here, the card arrangement zone 111 of the layout 110 is a card distribution space on which the dealer throws and distributes cards, and is composed of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sides. The game logo 112 denotes the logo of a triple smart game, and the game description phrase 113 denotes a simple description of the play rules of the triple smart game (indicating that when win is made with a higher value card, a payout of three times an original wager, plus the original wager, is paid, but when win is made with a lower value card, a payout of twice the original wager, plus the original wager, is obtained). The seat-based betting zones 114 are areas (hands) in which customers make a bet when playing the triple smart game. It is preferable to bet on one or two sides of the corresponding zone, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and it can be understood that each customer can bet on all of three sides depending on the circumstances. Such a seat-based betting zone 114 can be implemented as a betting plate made of an opaque material so that a winning side can be displayed by turning on a first, second or third light 301, 302, or 303 of the lighting device 300, which will be described later. That is, the seat-based betting zone 114 allows a player, that is, a customer, to bet on one or more sides thereof and causes the corresponding sides, such as the respective 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sides, to be lit in accordance with the results of the entry of a win number by the dealer into the win number entry device 200. The seat number area 115 is a place where players, that is, customers, are located, and seat numbers are allocated to the respective seat-based betting zones 114 in a 1:1 matching manner. Casino terms used in the triple smart game implemented in the present invention are defined as follows. First, the term “chips” denotes round tokens that are used instead of currency in casinos and are made of a plastic material, and the term “chips tray” denotes a drawer-type rack in which a dealer keeps and arrays chips required to play games. The term “cheating” denotes improper activity by which a player puts chips on a winning side or shifts chips from a losing side while avoiding the dealer's observation so as to take unlawful profit after the winning or losing of the game has been determined. The term “pay” denotes the activity of paying chips by applying a designated payout ratio to the chips of a customer who has bet on a winning side after playing the game, and the term “take” denotes the activity of a dealer bringing chips of a customer who has bet on a losing side after playing the game. The term “betting” denotes the activity of a customer putting chips on a side determined by the customer to have a higher probability of win in a casino. The term “hand” denotes a betting selection space which is allocated to each seat on a casino game table. The term “house advantage” denotes a probability for each game, which was made to give a distinct advantage to a casino, compared to customers in casino games.
  • The win number entry device 200 is a control device installed on the chips tray side of the table around which the dealer is located so as to process the play result information of a triple game for which win or loss has been determined after each player completed betting on one or more sides of his or her own seat-based betting zone 114 and the dealer threw cards. As shown in FIG. 2, the win number entry device 200 is configured to include a win number display 210 for displaying win/loss results of previous game play, together with the current play state of a triple game, in the form of data scoring, and an information input keypad 220 including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd selection buttons, a win button, a cancel button, and a game completion button so that the dealer can enter the play state and win/loss results of the triple game. Such a win number entry device 200 processes the play result information of a triple game entered by the dealer, and controls the turn-on operation of the lighting device 300, which will be described later. Further, the win number entry device 200 transmits win/loss results to the win number display 210 so that the win/loss results are displayed, and also provides the win/loss results of game play to the display unit 400, which will be described later.
  • The lighting device 300 is a device that is embedded and installed under the seat-based betting zones 114 and is configured to light the winning side of a seat-based betting zone 114 corresponding to the play result information processed by the win number entry device 200. As shown in FIG. 3, the lighting device 300 includes a first light 301 for lighting the 1st side of each seat-based betting zone 114, a second light 302 for lighting the 2nd side of the seat-based betting zone 114, and a third light 303 for lighting the 3rd side of the seat-based betting zone 114.
  • The display unit 400 is a display device for providing data scoring so that players participating in a triple game can visually monitor and check the win/loss results of previous game play, together with a current game play state. In this case, the display unit 400 provides data scoring in conjunction with the win number display 210 of the win number entry device 200. The display unit 400 sequentially receives and displays pieces of information about the win/loss results of triple games depending on the play of the games, and is capable of displaying the win/loss results of previous game play, together with the current game play state, depending on the play of the triple game, with respect to 10 or more games. The display unit 400 is a device installed and operated in a casino for the purpose of improving customers' convenience and promoting marketing and is implemented as a typical flat panel display (of about 20 to 24 inches) that can be installed at a location where a maximum number of customers located around the game table can view the display unit. That is, the display unit 400 displays the winning or losing of games, previous game data, etc. in a predetermined format, thus providing convenience to each customer because there is then no need for him or her to personally write such information down on paper for each game. Contents displayed on the screen can be provided in a form similar to that of the score paper 500, which will be described later.
  • The score paper 500 is recording paper which allows players participating in a triple game to write down the win/loss results of previous game play, together with the current game play state, by hand. Most casinos all over the world strictly prohibit customers (players) from participating in games using personal belongings (paper, a ballpoint pen, a smart phone, a tablet Personal Computer (PC), etc.), and customers cannot use items other than articles or tools provided by each casino. Here, the provided score paper 500 is recording paper corresponding to approved articles provided by the casino for the purpose of improving customers' convenience or promoting marketing. Such score paper 500 has been produced by the casino in a predetermined format so that win/loss results or scores can be conveniently written, and is provided to desiring customers depending on the circumstances.
  • FIG. 4 is a diagram showing an example of score paper used in the triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
  • Referring to FIG. 4, score paper 500 is composed of a game play sequence and display entry columns for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sides in which win can be indicated in the play sequence of individual games. That is, as shown in the example of the drawing, the 1st side has won in a first game, and the 2nd side has won in second and third games. In this way, whenever one side has won, results are written down and can help to predict which side will win in the next game based on accumulated data. However, such score paper 500 is intended to merely increase players' interest, and previous data does not actually provide much assistance in predicting the winning or losing of the next game. The reason for this is that a casino game is reset per game and previous data does not influence win or loss for the next game. However, such score paper is intended to provide a probabilistic pleasure to players in such a way that when one side continuously wins, the probability of one of the two remaining sides winning is increased, whereas when one side does not continuously win, the probability of that side winning can be slightly increased.
  • FIG. 5 is a diagram showing nominal values of cards required to determine win or loss in the triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIGS. 6A to 6C are diagrams showing win or loss based on the play rules of a triple game in the triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
  • Referring to FIG. 5, the triple smart game system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention determines win or loss by calculating numbers of 52 cards based on international standards depending on the nominal values of the cards as the play rules of a triple game, but cards, such as “2” to “10”, are calculated as the nominal values thereof regardless of the suits of cards, and cards, such as “J”, “Q”, “K”, and “A”, are designated to satisfy the ranking of J<Q<K<A. Accordingly, card “2” is set to a lowest value and card “A” is set to a highest value. The play rules of the triple game in which the nominal values of cards have been set in this way are made such that in the case where win or loss for the cards is determined by comparing the values of three cards distributed to the card arrangement zone 111, if the values of the three cards distributed to the respective sides of the card arrangement zone 111 are different from one another (Different All), the side to which the highest value card has been distributed is determined to win, as shown in FIG. 6A. Thereafter, a payout that is three times an original wager, plus the original wager, is paid to the corresponding player.
  • Further, the play rules of the triple game are made such that in the case where win or loss for the cards is determined by comparing the values of three cards distributed to the card arrangement zone 111, if the values of two of the three cards distributed to the respective sides of the card arrangement zone 111 are identical to each other, and the value of the remaining one of the cards is higher than those of the two cards (Higher Than Pair), a side to which the one higher value card has been distributed is determined to win, as shown in FIG. 6B, and a payout that is three times the original wager, plus the original wager, is paid to the corresponding player. In contrast, if the values of two of the three cards distributed to the respective sides of the card arrangement zone 111 are identical to each other, and the value of the remaining one of the cards is lower than those of the two cards (Lower Than Pair), a side to which the one lower value card has been distributed is determined to win, as shown in FIG. 6C, and a payout that is twice the original wager, plus the original wager, is paid to the corresponding player. That is, in the case shown in FIG. 6C, a payout that is twice the original wager, plus the original wager, is paid as penalty for winning with a lower value.
  • Furthermore, the play rules of the triple game are made such that in the case where win or loss for the cards is determined by comparing the values of three cards distributed to the card arrangement zone 111, if the values of the three cards distributed to the respective sides of the card arrangement zone 111 are identical to one another (triple), respective additional cards are assigned to the sides and win or loss is determined for the cards. In this case, if such triple appears and win is made with a higher value (High After Triple), a payout that is four times the original wager, plus the original wager, is paid to the corresponding player, whereas if triple appears and win is made with a lower value (Low After Triple), a payout that is three time the original wager, plus the original wager, is paid to the corresponding player. In the state in which triple has appeared and the values of the additional cards are also identical to one another (Triple Double), if pair bet subsequently appears, a payout that is four times a payout on the pair bet (plus the original wager) is paid to the corresponding player. Meanwhile, in the above state, if triple bet subsequently appears, a payout that is 150 times a payout on the triple bet (plus the original wager) is paid to the corresponding player. Furthermore, in the case of triple double, the corresponding game is processed to end in a tie or, alternatively, a payout is paid to all customers who have bet in a 1:1 pay manner or, optionally, in a progressive jackpot manner, depending on the rules made by each casino. Here, the probability of progressive jackpot is about 1/40,000. In this case, the determination of whether to process the corresponding game to end in a tie (ended in a draw) or to pay customers who have bet in a 1:1 pay manner or in a progressive jackpot manner when pair bet, triple bet, or triple double appears, corresponds to casino house rules that can be made by each casino to suit the actual conditions of the casino rather than fixed game rules, and is not included in the fixed advantage. Typically, game rules are divided into two types of rules: 1) game rules that are set up for each game and cannot be optionally changed by each casino, and 2) house rules (casino rules) that are separately set up to suit the actual conditions of each casino, other than the game rules.
  • The triple smart game system according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a game in which 1 to 4 decks of 52 cards based on international standards are randomly shuffled, cards are respectively distributed onto sides called 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sides of the card arrangement zone 111 one by one on the game table, and the values of the respective cards are compared with each other, and which is determined such that when the value of one card is highest, the corresponding side has won the game or such that when two cards have an identical high value, the remaining one has won the game. In this case, when each of customers (players) completes betting on one or more sides of his or her own seat-based betting zone 114, and the dealer throws cards and then win or loss is determined, the dealer enters play result information using the information input keypad 220 of the win number entry device 200. The win number entry device 200 turns on one of the first, second, and third lights 301, 302, and 303 by controlling the lighting device 300 based on the entered information. That is, the winning side of the seat-based betting zone 114 is electronically lit by turning on the lighting device 300, so that players, a casino manager, and monitor personnel can view the results of game play depending on the win or loss. Simultaneously, the win number entry device 200 displays the win/loss results of previous game play, together with the current play state of the triple game, on the win number display 210 in the form of data scoring, thus allowing the dealer to check exact entry details. The data scoring displayed on the win number display 210 can be displayed even on the separately provided display unit 400 together with the win number display 210. The players can personally check win or loss by writing down it by hand on the score paper 500 separately provided by the casino, in addition to the display unit 400.
  • In the triple smart game system according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the calculation of probabilities for respective situations that may occur when a triple smart game is played using 4 decks of 52 cards based on international standards, and fixed house advantage will be described below. As the number of cases for respective situations, the total number of cases where 4 decks of 52 cards, that is, a total of 208 cards, are randomly shuffled and three cards having different values can be pulled out is calculated as 208C3=(208×207×206)÷(3×2×1)=1,478,256. The number of cases where two of three cards have an identical value (the state of pair) is calculated as (16C2)×(192C1)×13=299,520, and the number of cases where three cards have an identical value (the state of triple) is calculated as (16C3)×13=7,280. In the probabilities for respective situations based on the numbers of cases, a probability that all of the three cards will have different values is about 79%, which is calculated by the following equation: 1,478,256 (the total number of cases)−299,520 (the number of pair cases)−7,280 (the number of triple cases)=1,171,456. When the calculated probability is divided by the total number of cases, 1,171,456÷ 1,478,256=0.7925 is obtained. Next, a probability that two cards will have an identical value is about 20%, which is calculated by the following equation: 299,520 (the number of pair cases)÷ 1,478,256 (the total number of cases)=0.2026. Next, a probability that three cards will have an identical value is about 0.5%, which is calculated by the following equation: 7,280 (the number of triple cases)÷ 1,478,256 (the total number of cases)=0.0049. A fixed house advantage based on the probabilities for respective situations that will occur during the procedure of playing such a triple smart game is about 4.82%.
  • As described above, the triple smart game system according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention is configured to allow anyone to easily participate in a game in conformity with simple rules made such that win or loss can be determined using value levels of three cards, and to provide a higher payout ratio than that of most existing casino card games, that is, baccarat and blackjack, and is configured to increase players' interest using various reversal factors, such as the provision of the probability of winning the game even with a lower value card, provide an opportunity to predict win or loss via data scoring, and provide a relatively reasonable game having a house advantage of about 4.82% among recently developed casino table games.
  • In accordance with the triple smart game system proposed in the present invention, there is the advantage of providing a triple smart game system, which provides a triple game allowing anyone to easily participate in the game in conformity with simple rules made so that win or loss can be determined using value levels of three cards, and which is configured such that after players has completed betting on one or more sides via seat-based betting zones and a dealer has thrown cards, if win or loss is determined, the winning side of each seat-based betting zone is electronically lit by means of the processing of play result information by a win number entry device that allows the dealer to enter a win number, so that win or loss is indicated, thus enabling rules related to game play to be transparently observed, and improving advantages and the level of trust between customers and the dealer by preventing the cheating of customers via the implementation of an electronic betting space and preventing mistakes made by the dealer.
  • Further, in accordance with the present invention, there is an advantage in that it assigns the right of a multi-bet choice to customers so that the customers can expect a high winning rate, provides an opportunity to predict win or loss via a game enabling data scoring via a display or score paper provided by a casino, and improves the profits of casinos thanks to a high turnover rate based on simple game methods.
  • Furthermore, the present invention is advantageous in that it can provide a high payout ratio compared to existing baccarat (a maximum of twice) or blackjack (a maximum of three times), provide interest to players using various reversal factors, such as the probability of being able to win the game even with a low value card, allow anyone to easily participate in games using simple rules, and provide a reasonable house advantage (about 4.82%).
  • While the invention has been shown and described with reference to certain exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.

a game pad in which a layout is implemented on a game table around which a dealer and players are located, the layout including a card arrangement zone required to play a triple game, a game logo, a game description phrase, seat-based betting zones enabling each of players to bet on one or more sides of a corresponding seat-based betting zone, and a seat number area;
a win number entry device installed on a chips tray side of the table and manipulated by the dealer so as to process play result information of a triple game, for which win or loss has been determined, after each player completed betting on one or more sides of the seat-based betting zone and the dealer threw cards; and
a lighting device embedded and installed under the seat-based betting zone and configured to light a winning side of the seat-based betting zone corresponding to the play result information processed by the win number entry device.
2. The triple smart game system of claim 1, wherein the win number entry device comprises:
a win number display for displaying win/loss results of previous game play, together with a current play state of the triple game, in a form of data scoring; and
an information input keypad including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd selection buttons, a win button, a cancel button, and a game completion button, allowing the dealer to enter a play state and win/loss results of the triple game.
3. The triple smart game system of claim 2, wherein the lighting device comprises:
a first light for lighting a 1st side of the seat-based betting zone;
a second light for lighting a 2nd side of the seat-based betting zone; and
a third light for lighting a 3rd side of the seat-based betting zone.
4. The triple smart game system of claim 3, wherein the seat-based betting zone is implemented as a betting plate made of an opaque material so that the winning side can be displayed by lighting the first, second or third light.
5. The triple smart game system of claim 2, further comprising a display unit for providing the data scoring so that players participating in the triple game can visually monitor and check win/loss results of previous game play, together with a current play state of the triple game,
wherein the display unit provides the data scoring in conjunction with the win number display of the win number entry device.
6. The triple smart game system of claim 1, further comprising score paper allowing each of players participating in the triple game to write down win/loss results of previous game play, together with a current play state of the triple game, by hand.
7. The triple smart game system of claim 1, wherein play rules of the triple game are made such that numbers on 52 cards based on international standards are calculated as nominal values thereof and win or loss is determined, wherein cards “2” to “10” are calculated as nominal values thereof regardless of suits of the cards, and cards “J”, “Q”, “K”, and “A” are designated to satisfy ranking of J<Q<K<A, and thus card “2” is set to a lowest value and card “A” is set to a highest value.
8. The triple smart game system of claim 7, wherein the play rules of the triple game are made such that in a case where win or loss is determined by comparing values of three cards distributed to the card arrangement zone,
if the values of the three cards distributed to respective sides of the card arrangement zone are different from one another (Different All), a side to which a card having a highest value has been distributed is determined to win, and a payout that is three times an original wager, plus the original wager, is paid.
9. The triple smart game system of claim 7, wherein the play rules of the triple game are made such that in a case where win or loss is determined by comparing values of three cards distributed to the card arrangement zone,
if values of two of the three cards are identical to each other, and a value of a remaining one is higher than those of the two cards (Higher Than Pair), a side to which the one higher value card has been distributed is determined to win, and a payout that is three times an original wager plus the original wager is paid, and
if values of two of the three cards are identical to each other, and a value of a remaining one is lower than those of the two cards (Lower Than Pair), a side to which the one lower value card has been distributed is determined to win, and a payout that is twice the original wager plus the original wager is paid.
10. The triple smart game system of claim 7, wherein the play rules of the triple game are made such that in a case where win or loss is determined by comparing values of three cards distributed to the card arrangement zone,
if values of the three cards distributed to the respective sides of the card arrangement zone are identical to one another (Triple), respective additional cards are distributed and win or loss is determined,
wherein if winning is made with a higher value after triple has appeared (High After Triple), a payout that is four times an original wager, plus the original wager, is paid, and
wherein if winning is made with a lower value after triple has appeared (Low After Triple), a payout that is three times an original wager, plus the original wager, is paid.
11. The triple smart game system of claim 10, wherein in a case of triple double in which values of the additional cards are also identical to one another after triple has appeared,
if pair bet subsequently appears, a payout that is four times a payout on pair bet, plus an original wager, is paid,
if triple bet subsequently appears, a payout that is 150 times a payout on triple bet, plus an original wager, is paid, and
in the case of the triple double, the corresponding triple game is processed to end in a tie or, alternatively, a payout is paid to all customers who have bet in a 1:1 pay manner or, optionally, in a progressive jackpot manner, depending on rules made by each casino.
