looks like others have the same issue. The work around is to click on gadget "settings" -> "Open in New Window"

Beginning today when I click a bookmark it opens only within the Bookmark Gadget, not a normal full page as it had for years. So my IGoogle homepage stays in place and my bookmarked page opens and replaces all the bookmarks. Clicking the "back" arrow gets it back to normal. Can anyone help with this, or is this my sign to move on? LOL

From this page (where you're reading this comment) click on the "Google Bookmarks" link which is also the header on the box containing your bookmarks. This opens up another page. Scroll down untill you see the link labeled "Export Bookmarks" This will download an HTML file to your computer. On Chrome, it shows up at the bottom of the screen as a button, click on it and the file opens up. Otherwise, it should go wherever your downloads go. Open the file, copy the path to the file in the browser window. Go to IGHOME, on the bookmarks widget click "Choose file" button and paste the path you copied into the box at the bottom. Click "open" and you should be set. Hope this helps

the Google bookmarks gadget does not refer to ones actual bookmarks page. You have to export it, so any changes to the online page means you have to re-export it. Can't we just have a way to add this to ighome please? I love this gadget and will be very sorry when igoogle closes.

Like most below I liked iGoogle and can usually follow instructions. However I cannot work out how to get my Favourites into Google Chrome. The drop down list from the yellow star does not seem to say the same as I saw in an instruction. With so many people complaining about the same thing, the instructions cannot be clear. Why does it not have a question when you are signing up to say "do you wish to import your Favourites"? One more try otherwise I will change to the Chanel 9 one, forget the name just now.

I'm gradually coming to terms with igoogle being on it's death bed. The igoogle Bookmarks gadget has a drop down list called 'Show Label'. Is there a way to replicate this in the Bookmarks webpage?

you can use google sites to create pages that include similar widgets as the one offered for igoogle. I migrated my igoogle page to google site, and I am getting a very similar experience. Using site also allows me the extra functionality to personalize the pages and control the access to them (better acl). I just wish someone at google would take the time to do a video / tutorial to show how one can migrate from igoogle to site.

Why were we not told about the change - a simple email would have been helpful. Unsatisfactory customer care. I can find my bookmarks only after a lot of effort . I know nothing about Ighome and wil that colect my old bookmarks many of which I use for work. I feel like dropping Chrome.

I am having a problem labelling a bookmark. When I attempt to type in the name of the label, all I get are numerals. I've been all over Google and this is the first place I've found where I can add my comments. If anybody at Google or some knowledgeable reader understands this and can provide a remedy, please let me know.

As for most things that are changed in our known world, it is for more profit for a select few or possibly there is a security breach.Either of the reasons, all information we are given to we the mass public, will never know the real truth until it is 50, 60, 70, 100 years later. Another way to put it is that the truth comes out only when all who are involved or responsible are dead and gone. I always felt google was a great product. I even passed up Apple to stick with google and android. My only hope is that one day men start doing what is best for all of mankind instead of figuring out what is best for a select few and their own profits. My apology in advance if I have offended anyone or if I have wasted precious time with my opinion. Regards Each person only need to do their part and then the multitudes become one and the control is given back to each and everyone of us

Many years ago, when I set up my series of Bookmarks wihin iGoogle, it was possible to set up different labels under which the bookmarks could be stored. Now, with IE9 I have no idea how to create new labels. Anybody got any good ideas?
