The area: Publisher and Distribution Solutions (PDS)

gTech Publisher and Distribution Solutions (PDS) extends Google's reach through distribution partners and enables search and display publishers to grow their business using Google's monetization and platform products. Our team consists of sharp, analytical minds and enjoys solving complex strategic, operational and technical challenges for the world's largest publishers. As a member of the PDS team, you will work with the world's largest publishers and partners on cutting edge technologies and products and have the opportunity to influence innovation at Google.

The role: Technical Account Manager, Publisher and Distribution Solutions

Google's Publisher & Distribution Solutions (PDS) team makes sure that our external partners are able to grow their business with the full support of Google's products. Technical Account Managers are advertising and technology mavericks who serve as liaisons between our biggest partners and Google's Engineering and Sales teams. They handle the partner relationship from pre-sale to post-implementation -- from negotiations through multi-product integrations and on to daily support for products like AdSense, AdMob, DoubleClick, Chrome and many others. Technical Account Managers not only serve as Google gurus but also identify new opportunities where our products can better help our partners’ businesses. Our suite of products is growing and PDS Technical Account Managers help us understand exactly what our partners need.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, drive, and optimize the revenue flow from new business opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
  • Perform implementation reviews, evangelize new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Analyze and optimize the revenue flow of existing partners.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical field (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
  • 2 years relevant work experience, including programming experience in C, C++, Java and/or Python.
  • 2 years hands-on experience in Internet products and technologies.
  • Experience in XML, HTML, JavaScript, and/or UNIX/Linux.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
